The newspaper has been around for 2,069 years, but where did it all start?
In 59 BC in Rome there was a variation on newspaper called 'Acta Diurna' (Daily Events), which is the earliest recorded 'newspaper'.
Julius Ceasar ordered the 'Acta Diurna' to be posted in all the major cities to inform the public about important social and political happenings. It was written on large white boards and displayed in popular places like the Baths.
